LAS VEGAS (June 6, 2011) — Rounding out its Energy Advantage™ line up, Maytag Commercial Laundry is introducing a newly designed Stack Washer/Dryer to the multi-housing, college and university, guest services markets and on-premises laundry (OPL). The new front-load pair is the complete package – energy efficient, dependable and flexible. The HE washer is the most energy-efficient front-load washer ever,* and can cut utility bills (water, sewer and energy) up to 60 percent** lowering operating costs. The extra-large capacity dryer is capable of handling oversized loads.

With a focus on energy efficiency, the washer is ENERGY STAR® and CEE Tier III qualified. Its high-speed spin extractor removes excess water, providing users with dryer laundry and reducing owners' energy and water bills. The stylishly designed unit offers a full-size, high-efficiency washer and super capacity dryer in the same space typically reserved for a single washer. Equipped with a 180-degree heavy-duty hinge, the new washer and dryer door design allows easier access when loading and unloading laundry. A user-friendly microprocessor control panel, angled for easier reading, operates both the washer and dryer. The single control panel offers one-touch cycle selection and displays operating instructions, as well as remaining cycle time.

The stack washer/dryer's single payment system is ideal for any market and accepts a number of payment options, including coin drop and card reader. The product is also available for set up in non-coin OPL markets. Additionally, the 3.2 cubic-foot washer and 6.7 cubic-foot dryer unit come standard with the industry leading Maytag® Commercial Laundry five-year limited parts warranty.

Also on display at the Maytag Commercial Laundry booth is the company's "dynamic duo" – a 55-pound soft-mount washer/extractor and 75-pound dryer. The 55-pound soft-mount washer/extractor model can fit through a standard 36-inch door opening, reducing installation costs. The smaller-framed model still offers large cleaning capacity and plenty of useful features for on-premises (OPL) facilities, without worrying if it will fit. Maytag Commercial Laundry's newest 75-pound OPL dryer is the most energy efficient multi-load dryer in the company's Energy Advantage™ lineup. It features moisture-sensing technology, improved airflow for faster dry times and a reverse tumble feature.
