CHERRY HILL, NJ - Equipment Marketers' annual Trade Show and Spring Service Seminar was held recently. The company's theme this year was "We Have What You Need." Maytag equipment, that represented speed, energy efficiency and value, was on display to show attendees that Maytag can provide customers with equipment for whatever their needs may be. Also new this year, and a real crowd pleaser, was the "Maytag Red Carpet Service Center". Three technicians were on hand all day to work with customers on smaller machines. Back by popular demand, Equipment Marketers also had the "Energy Showdown" demonstration showing the very valuable gas savings that Maytagstack dryers provide versus a competitive brand (30%). Also, new this year, the Coin Laundry Owner-to-Owner networking session allowed coin laundry owners to share their experiences and learn about business issues with interaction from other owners.
Equipment Marketers celebrated Maytag Commercial's 50th anniversary with a cake and appearance by the Maytag Repairman, Clay Jackson. He was at their Cherry Hill, NJ headquarters to sign autographs and pose for pictures.
The Service Seminar continued to have a record attendance as did the Trade Show. Customers visited with manufacturers' representatives and other coin store owners. The delicious food, the exciting morning and afternoon drawings of Maytag High-Efficiency washers, and the numerous prizes of domestic appliances kept people mingling all day. Equipment Marketers awarded Emmaus Laundromat of Allentown, PA, the 2007 Most Beautiful Coin Store with a laundry cart full of Maytag logo items and a plaque. Early bird registrars for Equipment Marketers' Friday, November 7, 2008 Free Fall Service Seminar have already started to sign up.
