Distributor creates ‘Laundry Cabaret’ themed event

CHERRY HILL, N.J. — Some 350 customers attended distributorEquipment Marketers’ 23rd Annual Commercial Laundry Trade Show and Service Seminar here in May at its headquarters, the company reports.

The two-day “Laundry Cabaret” themed show featured live entertainment, including cabaret acts, singers, aerial performers and more.

More than 25 vendors showcased laundry-related products in the Trade Show area. Companies represented were Aquawing Ozone Laundry Systems, BCC Payments (EasyPay), Card Concepts, Continental Girbau,Dandux, Eastern Funding, Engels Insurance, ESD, Greenwald Industries,Jackson Technical Service, Maytag Commercial Laundry, NATCO,Philadelphia Polished Concrete, Primus, Rice Lake Weighing Systems, SMS Building Systems, Springboard, Standard Change-Makers, Starchup, Sprague, Scoles Floorshine Industries, The Laundry Pass, Uni-Kem, U.S. Capital Corp. and Vend-Rite Mfg.

Laundry business seminars included Credit Cards, Payment Apps & More by Steve Marcionetti, Card Concepts; Become a Better Operator by Embracing Change by Brian Grell, Coin Laundry Association; What is Your Laundromat Worth? by John Culberson, CPA, Bowman & Co.; Be Your Own Boss … How to Open a Laundromat by Grell; On Demand Laundry Apps and the Future of Wash/Dry/Fold by Daniel Tobon, Starchup; and Ozonate Your Checkbook by Ralph Daniels, Aquawing.

Additionally, there were manufacturer service seminars throughout the day, plus service techs were on hand to provide free technical support. Attendees enjoyed free food, and thousands of dollars in prizes were awarded, the distributor says.

“Judging from the increase in the number of people attending and exhibiting at our show each year,” says Dick LaMaina, president of Equipment Marketers, “there is something for everyone coming to the Trade Show—people are learning about the laundry industry, networking, making their businesses better and enjoying themselves.”
